Terms of Service
The essentials of using DNGate, including the account balance terms. Plain language; where this page and a domain registry's policies differ, the registry policy governs that domain.
Creating an account requires accepting the User Agreement, which covers your account, acceptable use, and termination.
Account balance (prepaid credit)
- Your balance is prepaid credit for DNGate services only — domain registrations, renewals, transfers and other services we offer. It is not a bank or deposit account and earns no interest.
- Paying from your balance earns the published balance discount; the discounted amount is the amount charged.
- Balance is personal and non-transferable: it cannot be sold, gifted, or moved to another account.
- No cash withdrawal or cash refund, except where required by applicable law. Balances do not expire.
- When an order fails (for example the registry rejects a registration), the amount you paid for the failed item is refunded to your balance automatically, at the same discount you paid.
- Top-ups are card payments processed by Stripe. If a top-up payment is disputed or charged back, the account balance may be frozen pending review; fraudulent use may result in account closure and forfeiture of balances obtained fraudulently.
Using DNGate
- You must provide accurate registrant (WHOIS) contact data as required by ICANN and the applicable registry; verification failures can suspend a domain.
- Domain availability and prices are checked live at checkout; a price shown earlier is indicative. The price confirmed at checkout is the price charged.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch our servers. Saved cards are used only for charges you authorized (for example auto-renewals you enabled).
- Domains are subject to the policies of the applicable registry and ICANN (transfers, the 60-day change-of-registrant lock, redemption grace periods, premium pricing and more).
- DNGate may refuse or cancel orders that violate these terms, registry policy, or law.
